The United States Postal Service - Ensuring the proper delivery of your mail is essential in any relocation.  For $1.00 you can visit USPS online to change your address immediately.  If you have enough time in advance, you can visit your local USPS location to fill out a form onsite.  Find your nearest USPS location here!

Utilities - A necessary undertaking when relocating is the transfer or start-up of utility services.  If you are purchasing a home, please be aware that each home is different in the type of services you are responsible for or need, so definitely check with the existing owner, or in the case of a condo, the condo association, prior to making any changes.  I have compiled a comprehensive list of utility company contact information that you may need.  Depending on the area, please visit the Washington, D.C. Department of Motor Vehicles - Don't forget to get your new license and registration!  DMV.org is a fantastic resource for all things DMV.  What's even better is that it contains all the information specific to your state so you make sure you are ready and prepared!  They even have online copies of your state's driver's manual so you can study before applying for a license if you are required to do so.
